We have been live-streaming our Masses for a number of years now and will continue to do so.
We have removed 75% of the chairs from the nave of the church and have arranged them in groups of two to five, spacing each grouping 6 feet apart. If there is a need to move any chairs this should be done only with the permission and assitance of a parish staff members. Only members of the same household may sit together.
At the Sign of Peace, please acknowledge those around you with wave or verbal greeting.
Yes. The implementation of social distancing limits the seating capacity in our Church.
Due to this limitation, we will need to know that you are coming to a weekend Mass and have set up a simple RSVP system on our website through REALM. There you will select an available Mass time and let us know how many in your family will be attending. You will receive an email confirmation If you do not arrive at the designated alloted time, you will give up your seat to those who may be in the Standby line.
If you need help with reserving a space please call our Parish Office.
As you approach the Church, a staff member will confirm your RSVP. Please arrive 30 minutes before Mass.
Holy Communion will be distributed only in the form of the Sacred Host. Out of charity and concern for others, Communion should be received only in the hand. If it is absolutly necessary for you to receive on the tongue you will be asked to wait near the choir area of the church till all have received. It will be necessary for the priest to sanitize his hands before and after giving communion on the tongue.
Holy Communion will be offered after the Priest has given the Final Blessing.
You will remain at your seat, facing the altar. The priest or Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC) will come to you, starting from the back of the church. After you have received communion we ask that you leave the church after a short prayer of Thanksgiving. It will be necessary for the parish staff to sanitize the church to pepare for the next Mass.
It is strongly encouraged that you wear a mask during your attendance at Church and to practice proper hygiene such as the sanitizing of hands before you enter. We have hand sanitizers located on the walls as you enter the Church Narthex from outside.
The only doors that you should enter and exit from are the ones which are propped opened. We will prop open the main front glass doors and the back door that goes out to the Columbarium. Once Mass begins we will lock the doors allowing only the possibility to open them from the inside. If you arrive late and the doors are closed, a staff member will be there to open the door for you.
It's more than likely, your usual seat is no longer there.
Staff members will assist in the seating process prior to Mass. We will begin seating from the front of the church to the back. We ask that you please follow the staff members directions, as it will be different from what you normally experience.
To eliminate the need to sanitize all of the kneelers we have removed them from the church. It is appropriate to remain standing during the times when we would normally kneel.
If you are physically able to do so, we ask that you remain standing during the Eucharistic Prayer and the distribution of Holy Communion.
In following the health guidelines, the Holy Water Fonts and the Baptismal Font will not be used.
Missalettes, hymnals and paper bulletins will not be available due to current restrictions. Use of your mobile device in silent mode is suggested to access on-line worship aids or you may bring your own worship aid book. Please remember to take your worship aid with you when you leave.
To elimiate the passing of a collection basket, you will find offertory baskets located on both the left and right sides of the Baptismal Font upon entry into the Nave of the church. We ask that you drop your offering in the basket as you enter the church.
If you have not done so already, we encourage you to use our Online Giving by clicking the link at the top of the webpage.
Outdoor benches have been removed from the front plaza of the church. Due to required social distancing and the need to sanitize any seat that has been used, it is best that they be removed for now.
The door of the church will be propped open, this will eliminate the need for anyone to touch a door handle, which then would need sanitizing before being touched again.
All members of Parish Staff will be wearing a face mask. As per CDC guidelines, if just one of our parish staff members were to test positive for COVID 19, the entire parish staff would then need to self-isolate for 14 days. This would necessitate closing the Church once more. Out of concern for the entire “body of Christ” we ask for your consideration and respect. We ask all who serve and enter our church doors to follow CDC guidelines and wear a face mask on parish grounds to protect parishioners/visitors and staff.
Due to strict sanitizing guidelines: Church restroom use is limited to one person at a time, there will be no access to drinking fountains, no literature of any type will be available, no missals available in the seats and no kneelers under the chairs.
All guidelines listed above are being done for the safety and concern for each one of you.
WEEKDAY MASSES (Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m.)
Church doors will open at 8:30 a.m.
Social Distancing must be maintained while on church property.
We ask that you go directly into the Nave of the church and take a seat. Once seated, we ask that you not move to another chair. Each chair must be sanitized before someone else may use that same chair. Sanitizing will take place after each Mass.
As stated above, for the safety of all, please wear a face mask while on parish grounds.
Due to social distancing guidelines, we are only able to currently accommodate 93 families per Mass. We thank you for your understanding.
Socializing should not take place in the narthex of the church at this this time. The Disciples Corner is closed. Only one set of front doors will be propped open for entry into the church. All other doors will remain locked. This one set of doors should be used to enter and exit the church. If you arrive after the Mass has begun, the door will be opened for you by a member of the parish staff.
Restrooms: Use of the restroom is limited to the handicap stall in both the men’s and the women’s restroom. Due to the need to sanitize the restroom after each use, only one person may use the restroom at a time. The restroom will then immediately be closed for a short period for sanitation.
Drinking Fountains are currently not operational.
You will not find any literature of any type on parish grounds and we ask that you leave none behind. There are no church bulletins. All bulletin announcements are found on our website and on REALM.
You will find 75% of our chairs have been removed from the seating area. We ask that no movement of chairs be done without assistance of parish staff.
Only members of the same household may sit together.
The center rows have two chairs next to each other. The chairs angled on the sides have three to five chairs together (parish staff can arrange groupings to accommodate larger families) PLEASE do not sit in a chair grouping if the other person(s) in that group is not of your household.
All kneelers have been removed. This eliminates the need for sanitizing each one after Mass.
Only members of the Parish Staff will serve in any capacity during the Mass.
There will be no offertory procession or collection during the Mass. Collection baskets for the offertory will be located on tables near the Baptismal Font.
During the Eucharistic prayer and at other times that we normally kneel as a community, we ask that you remain standing, if physically able, otherwise you may be seated.
There should be no holding of hands during the Our Father. The traditional form of offering the Sign of Peace should be substituted with offering a simple gesture of peace with the raising of the hand or a simple bow.
Communion will be distributed following the Final Blessing and dismissal of the Mass. Those who will be receiving communion should remain in their seats. The Priest and/or the Parish Staff Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion will distribute communion beginning at the back of the church. Communion will only be distributed on the hands at this time. After you have received communion, we ask that you pray your private prayer of Thanksgiving and then leave church grounds immediately while in quiet prayer.
If you must receive communion on the tongue, please wait until after the Mass, proceed to the front of the church to the designated area. Please remember social distancing guidelines. The Priest will then offer you communion on the tongue. The Priest will sanitize his hands after each person receives communion on the tongue.
