Blessed Carlo Acutis

Blessed Carlo Acutis was an Italian teenager who is known for his profound faith, devotion to the Eucharist, and his skills in computer programming. He was born on May 3, 1991, in London, England, and grew up in Milan, Italy. Carlo was raised in a devout Catholic family and had a deep love for the Catholic faith from a young age.

Carlo developed a deep devotion to the Eucharist and attended daily Mass regularly. He also had a strong passion for computer programming and technology. Carlo created a website to catalog and document Eucharistic miracles around the world, which he hoped would help others deepen their faith.

Carlo was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 15 and offered his sufferings to God. He continued to live his faith with joy and courage, accepting his illness as a means to unite himself with Christ on the cross. Carlo passed away on October 12, 2006, at the age of 15.

Carlo's life and spirituality have inspired many people around the world, and he has been hailed as a model for young people seeking to live out their faith in today's world. He was beatified by the Catholic Church on October 10, 2020, and is considered a role model for the youth for his strong faith, devotion to the Eucharist, and his use of technology to evangelize and spread the message of Christ.

Blessed Carlo Acutis is often referred to as the "patron saint of the internet" and is remembered for his simple yet profound faith and his dedication to helping others grow closer to God. Pope Francis and the Consistory of Cardinals voted to approve the canonization of the first Saint from Generation "Y", those born between 1981 and 1996 commonly known as millennials.

Blessed Carlo Acutis will likely be proclaimed a Saint during the 2025 Jubilee.
